When to use each defense, and why. We will also be doing a “live fire” portion of the class, shooting paper targets, and transitioning to “post engagement protocol”. In other words, what to do after neutralizing a threat, so you don’t get caught off guard be any other type of threat. Control the environment, create alliances, render aid, call 911, and give a specific statement to police.

What to Bring:

• water
• shoes, belt, cargo style pants, t-shirt, and hat (weather appropriate clothing)
• lunch bag
• eye and ear protection
• Shooting mat (optional)
• Knee pads (optional)
• Gloves (optional)

Course Materials for Rifle:

• AR15/Tavor/AK/ Scar with red dot or magnified optic with illuminated reticle
  (if you bring multiple rifles they must be in the same caliber)
• Suppressor (optional - if you have one BRING IT!)
• 250 rounds of new ammunition minimum - NO GREEN TIP OR TRACER AMMO
• 4 standard capacity magazines
• Mag holder/pouch
• Sling

Course Materials for Pistol:

• Semi-auto centerfire pistol WITH night sights or red dot sight
• 4 magazines or more (8 minimum if using single stacked mags - Glock 43, M&P shield, etc)
• OWB/IWB holster and mag pouches. Absolutely no supra/uncle mike or stick holsters 
• Closed toed shoes/boots, pants, belt, and t-shirt
• 250-300 rounds of new ammunition  
  
• eye and ear protection
• tac-light, handheld flashlight (streamlight/ Inforce/Surefire)
  and pistol mounted light that emits at least 300 lumens - extra batteries
• 2 chem stick lights
